We love our new lamp from Lamps Plus, but there were a LOT of options to look through. Before we settled on one, I showed Ryan a ton of choices (he always gets veto power) and they were kind of all over the place! Based on size restrictions, we narrowed it down pretty quickly, but I thought it would be fun to share some of the other options I considered!

1. Color Plus: Lamps Plus has ...

I’ve been feeling entirely uninspired by beds recently. I’d fallen into a bed rut, so to speak. Gravitating toward modern canopy beds or upholstered headboards with skirts. Nothing wrong with either style, but nothing was jumping out at me otherwise.
And then a friendly email from Jayson Home landed in my inbox and their catalog arrived almost the same day, and in both instances I found myself practically drooling over a bed with an entirely different ...

A few weeks ago (my how time flies…) I was invited to a little tea party by  local shop Gracious House to Home to help usher in spring. I was excited for the excuse to drop in this new-to-me store. They had a lovely spread for the event, but I kept peering around at the great vintage lamps and furniture! Here are some photos their team sent me and that I borrowed from their facebook ...

Last week I had the pleasure of attending a little spring social at West Elm (our new Seattle store is seriously the best at planning events and inviting bloggers to attend!). Seattle-based event planners Nick and Aleah Valley of Valley and Co. were there give a demonstration on some easy spring entertaining DIY’s and mixed drinks. They also told some great stories and had great entertaining tips!
Before the presentation I met up with my friend ...

Last Thursday I got the chance to tour West Elm with a few other bloggers and get acquainted with the new Market collection as well as the holiday items. I hadn’t been in the store in a few months so it was fun to get to browse (and enjoy a yummy Trophy cupcake!).
The Market collection is really beautiful and feels very back-to-basics. Simple, classic designs. It was great to shop it in person (I got ...

It’s a wintery edition of my sporadic “Maggie Loves” series. Rounding up products I’ve bookmarked recently…
1. Cheetah Stools, $1,475. Oh how I wish I could make these happen in my apartment… Maybe if it was bigger, I had more money, and Ryan didn’t seriously object (my guess is that he would). A girl can dream, right?
2. Blazer, $99. I’m mildly obsessed with all the blazers at Zara right now. But especially anything with a cute ...

Well last week you guys were in total agreement that I should move forward with my bookshelf plans. Since both Ryan and I were mostly on board, this was the final push we needed to think it was a great idea! I’m a little giddy at the idea of all that storage, but also the vast expansion of decor space. Since our existing few bookshelves are packed with books, I haven’t been able to put ...

I swung through (for two hours…) our giant antique mall yesterday and spotted some awesome pieces. This time I remembered to snap photos to share!
This petite (and very darling) little vanity was only $150. You’ll be happy to know I did not grab and hoard it for a future daughter’s room, so it’s still there!

This huge cabinet (yes, that chair in front of it is normal-sized) was a rustic steal at $1286. Someone please hire ...

You know when you get a random tweet from someone you’ve never met but instantly feel like you should be friends with them? And maybe after a few months of tweeting you end up meeting up for drinks because you only live like a mile apart? And you can hang out for hours and still find things to talk about? Well, that happened to me and my new friend Vanessa. Our first happy hour she ...

With a new season comes new wish lists… I’m mostly focused on building my fall wardrobe (with a few home purchases sprinkled in) but the things I’ve been bookmarking have been all over the place.
1. Chair, inquire. This actually had my jaw drop when I stumbled across it.
2. Quilted black tote, $42. I need a big tote to take to client meetings and sourcing trips (paint swatches, tape measure, notebooks…).
3. Lucite tray, $90. I’m a ...
