Plants are in the ground! And where you don’t see plants, there are seeds!
The milk jugs are working as little greenhouses for the carrots. We still have to get the string on the “trellis” for the peas. They are already trying to tie themselves into knots, so we need something for them to wind on. Other than that, we’re just keeping things hydrated and keeping our eyes open for slugs.

Can you believe that we have barely touched the garden beds since all that digging and slaving? The first week we were just too busy, and since then it’s been kind of rainy and the soil has been too wet to do much with. However, our planters have been draining nicely and we decided to get our herbs planted.

Sunday was a beautiful day in Seattle. The sun was out and it was a great day to get outside and work in the garden. And just look how it turned out!

We’ve both watched our parents grow thriving gardens. Last year I longed for a container garden… but my little ...

Last week I was lucky enough to win tickets to the Northwest Flower and Garden Show from Seattle Homes and Lifestyles Magazine. This is the second time I’ve won a giveaway on twitter! I was particularly excited about this win because I’d been hearing really exciting things about the show. I took my friend Laura with me on Saturday and we had a great time.
The show is held in the convention center and is six ...
