We’ve begun our garden plans for the year and I’m trying to be patient and not get started too early.

In the meantime, I’m re-reading a few of my favorite garden-themed books to get in the spirit, and adding new favorites. Here are some of my stand-bys:

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

The Secret Garden

Second Nature; A Gardener’s Education

What’s your favorite way to get ready for spring? Are you hoping to have a garden this year? Read our garden adventures from last year!

“Animal, Vegetable, Miracle” is on my must-read list!

I am having a severe case of garden envy right now. I’m not sure if we’re going to have one of our own in the near future, and all I want to do is plant tomatoes and peppers and sugar snap peas and…ugh. At least I can live vicariously through you. :) Good luck!

Growing up I always wanted a ‘secret garden’. Still do. That first read looks interesting, I’ll have to check it out. I’m itching to do some planting!

My Mom read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle and highly recommended it, I need to read it! Because we’re in an apartment, it’s hard to do a garden but we hope to revive our little window sill herb box. I’m excited for spring!
