I have saved the etsy shop Dimdi as a “favorite” for AGES. I was so excited to finally order some of Irene’s work for our living room. Her watercolor paintings of animals are so beautiful and charming. We had her do three custom paintings – an alpaca, a bear, and a rhino.

Someone had to remind me that she was the original beastie in the room.

For an 8×10 painting (not prints!), the $25 price tag is reasonable enough that you could start a small collection. For just $35 you can have a painting customized to your pet from a photograph.

We LOVE our new artwork. Grazie mille, Irene!

They look great! What’s the significance of the animals you chose?

We really like them. Haha. It was an ORDEAL choosing animals because I felt like they should be “related” somehow, like all sea animals, or all forest animals. But then we just picked our favorites from the list (oh there was a list). Other contenders: Buffalo, fox, whale, ostrich, penguin, panda, leopard, hippo, gazelle, owl, anteater, porcupine… In the end, I picked the alpaca, Ryan picked the rhino, and we both picked the bear.

I love these paintings! What a great deal, too. And while I think it’s awesome that you chose pictures of wild animals, don’t you think Thisbe is just a little bit jealous? ;)

Maddie, I think she might be jealous that those animal get to go outside! Haha. She’s feeling a little too domesticated lately (but she’s an indoor cat because we live on a busy road and there are racoons (!) in our alley sometimes). Safety first!
