Hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week (for the US, at least!). I’ve been storing up some Thanksgiving inspiration – mostly courtesy of Eddie Ross, because that man certainly knows his way around a place setting! I spent Sunday hunting for deals for my friend Laura’s Thanksgiving table, and I can’t wait to share it with you after the big day!
Here’s where I was getting some ideas:
Color palette (whites and metallics) from Dwell Studio, seen on Sincerely, Cecelia.
Layers, layers, layers (and the unexpected!) from Eddie Ross:
And finally, this sweet name card idea (mine will be white painted pumpkins) from Eddie Ross in Lonny.
I’ll pull together a little design board of what Laura’s table will look like.
In the meanwhile, for anyone hosting the big feast this year, Michelle from Design Evolution has a fabulous free download to help you plan your menu and make the grocery trip a breeze. Plus, it’s pretty! Here’s a preview, but visit her site to download it!
And after Thanksgiving, my countdown to Christmas begins! Although I already have decor and parties on the brain thanks to my new holiday help services. Happy as clam – it’s my favorite time of year! Are you planning a Thanksgiving or holiday gathering this year? What’s your decor concept?

I love Lonny! And I also love those white pumpkins in the first picture. I can’t believe how soon Thanksgiving is, either!
How fun! Good luck with your big get together. We’re keeping it really low-key this year: just me, my husband, my sister and my dog.
Both my husband and my sis have to work that day so going back home to Southern California for T-Day isn’t in the cards this year. Me and sis have already planned our veggie sides (with a turkey breast for my meat-eating husband) and a yummy dessert baked from scratch from the same meat-eating-husband-turned-baker.

Lisa,
I’m luckily NOT hosting this year (we debated it), but I am planning the table setting for my very dear friend who is hosting for the first time in her new home! I get all the fun and none of the worry of the meal
We usually do a small gathering at Ryan’s mom’s and luckily it’s only an hour drive away! Your meal sounds yummy! xo Maggie
